Spring has officially begun in Blue Windows! We have many projects planned and a couple of sections in the store will be getting a “new” look. The first of many was the Spring clothing window. We were inspired by the simple phrase “You are Beautiful”. We wanted to create a window with lots of color but at the same time keeping it simple. We hope when you pass by it brightens your day.
The process started at my house on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:00…
pieces of fabric cut and glued around the stencil letters…
and the process ended around midnight…
While I was making the “You are Beautiful” sign Holli and Katie were making the flower sign…
I painted the side wall and the floor of the window, hung the signs and added the dress forms…voila!
The second project of the day was to make a swing for the front display. While the paint was drying in the window I made a simple swing.
Not a swing to sit on but definitely good enough for pillows to be displayed.
I love my little swing.
Now on to the next project…
