I recently realized I don’t take advantage of the items I carry in my store, especially regarding my home. I started feeling like my house was a bit boring and needed some new life. I generally go for warm colors which is also known as brown. I have a LOT of brown in my house. This print brings color and life into my living room. I will love looking at it everyday. Makes me want to daydream.

It took me two days! Even though my back hurt from sitting on the floor I enjoyed every moment of the chaos! I only wish I had remembered to take a picture of my living room…DISASTER! I did however remember to take pictures of the finished products!

I was a bit down this morning and with the rain adding to my mood I felt like this was how my day would continue to be. Surprise…my friend Lailani came with a simple flower and card that completely made my day. It’s truly amazing how words of encouragement can affect one’s soul and mood. I also got a surprise visit from Jeanine Payer! She is here for business and invited me to lunch with her Jewelry rep, Nina. While we were at lunch she interviewed me for a blog she is putting together. I was pleasantly surprised by the questions. Gold or Silver? Plaid or Stripes? Beatles or Rolling Stones? Favorite movie? Favorite work of Art? This is just a sampling of the questions. One in particular brought back a great deal of memories and perspective. She asked what my favorite piece of jewelry was in her collection. I had such a hard time because there are so many for different reasons. I told her about the first piece I bought when I was managing the store and couldn’t really afford her jewelry. I fell in love with the “Stella” ring with the quote “Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story.” I had just graduated with a music degree so it was perfect for my life. This memory made me recollect how far I have come in business and in life.
