Spring has offi­cially begun in Blue Windows! We have many projects planned and a cou­ple of sec­tions in the store will be get­ting a “new” look. The first of many was the Spring cloth­ing win­dow. We were inspired by the sim­ple phrase “You are Beautiful”. We wanted to cre­ate a win­dow with lots of color but at the same time keep­ing it sim­ple. We hope when you pass by it bright­ens your day.

The process started at my house on a Wednesday after­noon around 4:00…

pieces of fab­ric cut and glued around the sten­cil letters…

and the process ended around midnight…

While I was mak­ing the “You are Beautiful” sign Holli and Katie were mak­ing the flower sign…

I painted the side wall and the floor of the win­dow, hung the signs and added the dress forms…voila!

The sec­ond project of the day was to make a swing for the front dis­play. While the paint was dry­ing in the win­dow I made a sim­ple swing.

Not a swing to sit on but def­i­nitely good enough for pil­lows to be displayed.

I love my lit­tle swing.

Now on to the next project…
