FALL TRUNK SHOW

Friday, October 15th, 2010

Every year at this time I have a Fall Trunk Show. This has become a standard at Blue Windows! I get excited for it every year. For me it marks the coming of all the Holidays. This year we are featuring more lines than ever. October 22–24 Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will offer 20% off all orders on Vietri, Bauer, Juliska and Jan barboglio. This is the time to get your holiday shopping done early with a great discount. We will be featuring new Christmas items from Vietri that make great holiday/hostess gifts for around $20– $30! Don’t miss this event!

OCTOBER CHARITY…PRECIOUS LAMB.

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

Fall is by far my favorite time of year. I love being surrounded by warm earthy colors in my store. I feel the most connected to my store creatively in these months. This year it came at a good time. I think it’s no secret that times are tough right now and I struggle with the stress of what the economy is doing to my store. However, on the days that I just get to focus on the creative side of  my job I realize why I am doing my best to get through this hard season of retail. The reality is I still love my store and what it brings to my life. The store is so much of who I am and I’ve always said from day one that all I can do is the best job I can and God will take care of the rest. I truly feel my journey is not over.

I spent all day Friday decorating for fall. Petra and I did the window display and Alyson was hard at work making all the signs for our Fall Trunk Show. I am so lucky to have a creative team by my side.

I chose to bring back Precious Lamb Preschool for my October charity. I truly believe in the work that they are doing. Children have the opportunity to learn in a safe environment while their parents can feel comfortable leaving their children while they look for jobs or get the help they need. Please visit their website for further infrmation at http://www.preciouslamb.org/.

I hope everyone enjoys this season. Remember to take the time to visit a pumpkin patch, have a pumpkin latte, bake anything with pumpkin flavor (I make muffins every year) and be grateful for the people in your life. I certainly am.
